No homework is set. Instead provision of supervised Study in the school, of one hours duration, within the normal school day (Five times a week).

Holiday home work is given in the form of project work/assignment, suitable to their taste and abilities.

Gem International Residential School tunes the children with appropriate equipment of music during the zero period. The little Gems relax after their studies by playing the tune. The School believes that travel is the better teacher. This is promoted through:

 Tours to places of religious, cultural and historical importance are organised. These include short one or two-day trip, and trips of one or two weeks durations.
 Excursions are thoroughly planned and supervised.
 Students explore/research details of the destination before the tour.
 Upon their return, students are expected to complete a written and illustrated assignment and make a presentation of their experiences.
